The military council’s military base in Paung Chaung was attacked by Karenni forces

Karenni state on October 13, the Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) reported that Karenni forces attacked the military council’s Pon Chaung base camp between Loikaw Township and Shataw Township.

It is said that the military council troops were preparing to fire heavy weapons at the Paung Chaung base camp, and the Karenni forces attacked for more than an hour starting at 8:00 a.m. on October 11.

It was reported that the targets from the military council’s base camp were effectively attacked, and the military council could not confirm whether there were any casualties, but the joint forces were able to withdraw unharmed.

The KNDF said that the military council forces are carrying out military operations and reinforcements in Loikaw Township and are carrying out targeted attacks on the public with heavy weapons every day.
