At 7 am on December 6, the military force raided Salingyi Township, Sagaing Division and burned down 3 villages.

“We have to run and hide since yesterday. When we hear the soldiers are coming, we are anxious and frightened and our knees are shaking. They shoot and kill regardless of the elders or youths or refugees so we are afraid of them. They camped at our village. Today, before they left, they set on fire the village. They continued burning down the consecutive villages: Ohn Taw Village and Shan Kine Village. The number of the destruction is yet to be known since all the villagers have to temporarily leave behind the village,” said the unidentified local source.
