A member of the Military Council was killed when the marching column was fired upon in Kalay Township
On August 25th, the Chin Defense Forces (Kale, Kabor, GantGaw) CDF-KKG announced that a military council member was killed when a column advancing between Yangyi Aung village and Thanpho village in the south of Kale Township, Sagaing Province, was killed.
On August 23rd, when the military stationed in Yangyi Aung marched, they clashed with the CDF-KKG guard and opened fire. “I heard that the dead man from the Military Council Army was Major.” Although we have some information, it has not been confirmed yet,” a CDF – KKG official told.
About the deceased from the military council, some locals said that it was a two-flowered captain. According to sources close to the military, the details could not be independently confirmed. On August 24, it was reported that about 15 personnel were sent by helicopter from the military council to the Yanggyi Aung camp.
On the morning of August 25, the CDF-KKG official continued to say that seven people from Thanpho village were injured due to heavy weapon fire by the Military Council. According to the latest news, the people of Thanpho Village have almost completely evacuated the village.
