The military council column arrived in Katha township starting on September 11th, and yesterday, September 15th, at around 5:00 P.M the battle took place near Minlei village.

Villagers came in, Normally it would take three hours to walk, but it takes about a day to go from one village to the other with the presence of the defense forces. “They are going into the forest first,” said a member of the PA.KA.Pha in Katha Township.

Yesterday, the military council army and the defense forces clashed for about 15 minutes near Minlei village.

“When entering the villages, there are some men who are arrested. Some of them were taken as hostages like guides, and because there are locals to fight with our groups, it’s not convenient,” said a member of Katha Pa.Ka.Pha about the situation on the ground.

At present, the military council column is said to be in Meng Thukha village and Minle village. Nearly 1,500 local people from about 10 villages in Katha, where the Military Council troops are deployed, are fleeing the war.
