Battles continue to rage over the city of Moebyal  and the military council troops are being bombarded by fighter jets

The Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) announced on the evening of September 9 that the fighting between the military council army and the Karenni joint forces continues to intensify in the town of Moebyal, bordering Shan and Karenni states, and the military council army is bombarded by fighter jets.

Moebyal city ,the military council forces stationed in the temple compound in the 3rd Ward of Pwalgone and Karenni joint forces have been fighting for almost an entire day starting at 6:45 yesterday morning.

At 3:00 P.M , the military council army, hurt by the joint forces’ attack, launched a 30-minute bombardment using two fighter jets.

In addition to air bombardment, the military council army used heavy weapons. Heavy artillery was used to attack civilian areas.

The statement stated that in the contact battle, the military council army suffered many casualties, while the joint forces had only a few non-critical injuries.

The joint Karenni forces were able to rescue civilians trapped near the fighting areas in Mobyal city, and during rescue operations, they found and recovered the body of a 10-year-old boy who died from a bullet wound by the military council.

Starting on September 8th, the military council troops that entered Mobyal Township from Warisuplai in Mobyal Township with a force of nearly 400 near the 3rd Ward of the Village were attacked by the KNDF B/03 , B/11, KA , Moe Byal  PDF, Phal Khone PDF and URF groups were  joint attack .

The KNDF has informed that the KNDF has made a special request to civilians not to travel around the city of Mobyal , as the fighting continues in Mobyal township and the military council forces are firing heavy weapons almost all day long.
